As the new seasons of My Little Pony turns the classical franchise of Hasbro Toys from the 80s into a current pop culture sensation, a trend to create Original Characters for the world-famous TV show hits the internet by storm.Kindly note that I will not be answering any questions or replying to comments which ask/discuss/complain about anything which is explained in the article, so please do take the time in reading it if you can!
It is a must for a freelance illustrator such as myself to follow what is mainstream and current, in order to keep my work flowing. And seeing such passion and enthusiasm for this adorable series left me both impressed, and wanting to experiment with my own ideas related to the show.
Hence the birth of Venus Valentine, my “My Little Pony” original character, based on one of my two animated personas, Elena. Many who have been following my work in the past year know of Elena, the charming, cheery and seductive character who stops at nothing to get what she wants. These attributes have translated very well onto Venus Valentine, a Unicorn who uses her charm and personality to get ahead in her Pony-life!
