Probably not the most "in character" versions of these two OCs, but I tried to see what they would look like in an element related to the Pokemon they are dressed after!Note: Any illustrations appertaining to the art book project may be subject to minor modifications and fine-tuning prior to the book’s publication.
Vulpix and Ninetales are both designed after a mystical creature of the Japanese folklore, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to dress these two girls into something reflecting that. The temple and paper lanterns, together with the hairstyles and clothing, bundled my idea together pretty nicely. I'm quite happy with how it all turned out.
Thank you to my fellow deviants and friends mentioned above for supporting my work and helping me make my art book project possible! I hope you all enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed working on it!
This illustration is part of the “Gotta Dress’em All!” art-book project featuring a collection of illustrations by *GBIllustrations starring Original Characters dressed in outfits designed after of the Pokémon series. Spanning from the first to the fifth generation of Pokémon, this project is intended to portray an estimate of 650 different characters in total, all wearing custom made outfits reflecting the Pokémon they are made to represent. While the predominant style in the art-book will consist of Chibi drawings, it will also contain other different styles displaying the wide range of the author/artist, depending on the particular image being tackled. (Price of slot will also vary depending on the art style!) Each picture will come with a unique background, some more complex than others, and a composition that is promised to be print-worthy.
